Those were the headlines I woke up to this morning and I couldn’t be more happy. Orstead has decided to pull out of the offshore wind farm project off the coast of New Jersey. Most of us here on the coast did not want it to happen and believe it would be a great detriment to the fishery as well as the whales and sea life and birds off the coast. It would also be an eyesore and destroy our beautiful view of the ocean. They claim the reason was excessive inflation and supply chain issues ( welcome to Biden’s America) but I believe the main factor was the citizens along the Jersey Coast fought hard to prevent them from paving the ocean floor for 150 miles. Another case of big government trying to force their liberal ideals and crazy schemes on citizens. We won this battle!

Where’s all the lib environmentalists concerned with saving the planet? How can you do any of that without disturbing or upsetting the ecosystem? I guess there wasn’t a snail darter living there. I also see where Murphy got caught using 1000’s of taxpayer money for his concert/pro sports/dinners. Taylor Swift concert???? Really!!! Some time you must grow up. Governor “Swifty”.

Yea some deep corruption here. He was the supreme ruler during C***d and k**led many small businesses, as well as thousands of seniors in nursing homes. They tore the emission tower down for our old power plant Monday as they were going to run wind power to the old plant. We were going to convert it to gas from coal but they said a gas line would be too intrusive but were cool w paving the ocean. Craziness.

I agree with that. It’s got to the point where many politicians forget they work for us. Our governor ruled under emergency powers for 2 years accountable to no one, not even the constitution.
Im really pleased to see the people win for a change!🇺🇸🎣

Follow the money when it comes to green ideas. Ford is pulling completely from EV. Also, remember Obama gave 100’s of millions to alternative battery manufacturing,
I believe, who went bankrupt within months. EV will be the next industry to fold.

No doubt, it’s all about the money. It’s already happening w EV companies. Proterra was a EV bus company Biden pumped billions into and went bankrupt after several cities including Philadelphia purchased their buses but can’t use them because of low battery distance, fires and several other mechanical failures.

Lol I didn’t bother reading it all but when your wind turbine project goes bust due to high inflation, even when the government was going to give project $300 million things are bad. Imagine what it’s like for the average young family trying to survive on their own.

I heard someone say the other day, it’s never been so easy to survive in America without working and so hard to survive while working. I guess it’s good times if you happy w what the government will give you and you a low ambition individual. Or so rich your insulated from the economic crisis we are facing. But if you’re middle class it’s hard times.

Just read an article in Farm and Dairy about millennials drowning in debt. I have told my grandchildren that I feel sorry for them. I have built homes, and other buildings, for over 50yrs. Can’t believe the price of homes. I know the price of material has gone up. That’s happened all along. But the prices are insane. This home I live in I built in 2015. The market value has tripled in three years. The median home price is $400K. Figure that with 20% down. Who can afford that monthly payment? And rent averages $2500 mo. Who could afford to save money for down payment. We have seniors trying to live on $2000 mo. I could build them a home at cost (50% market) but land for building in this county, is now about $20K an acre. And rurally you have to have minimum of 5 acres. This is not California either.

I agree i don’t know what they’ll do to make it it’s definitely a different world now my first trailer cost 800 dollars to move now days bank won’t even loan on a trailer but even if you can afford it they won’t even touch it for less than 5000 with all the permits and stuff to buy on top of that that’s with the land ready to set one plus the cost of septic tank water tap and even electricity hook up is out the roof

Besides that you can forget trying to farm now days unless you hit the Lotto or have everything handed down that’s land and equipment the house I’m in now I just bought it and 15 acres maybe 8 years ago guarantee I could get 4 times what I paid now if not more but couldn’t afford to replace it if I did and my farm house I’m going to sell I’ll get close to ten times what I gave for it I’d say like you said I don’t know how people will get ahead I don’t even know where they’re going to get their food before long
