Nov 5th we "fall back" one hour,

my question is ..... one more hour to sleep or one more hour to fish? , as for me I have to work so I will take the extra sleep

Up here it's getting too cold to hit the water at sunrise, so I'll probably sleep. The worst part is getting dark earlier.

Why is Newfoundland 30 minutes off?

Why Are Some Time Zones 30 Minutes Off Instead of an Hour ...
However, Newfoundland is 3.5 hours behind UTC. When time zones were introduced in the late 19th century, Newfoundlanders chose their 30-minute offset because that was close to the local solar time in St. John's, the city where most Newfoundlanders lived.

Sorta different isn't it. If you pull up Canada's time zones it will give you a map of them
