Well it is getting to be that time of the year to shut it down for the winter. Thought I would give
DVL one last shot. Two words will describe the lake: Babies and Algae. Lots of baby LMB's the last few trips(about 80) so was expecting more of the same. Was not expecting algae this time of year, but it was pretty heavy in certain areas but fishable. Did manage one decent fish early. Eleven fish total, two were just over a pound, rest were babies. Water was 68-70*.
Decent catch of the day, 2.38lb
Sounds like successful day to me

Nice catching Garey. Finding the same thing here, with mostly youngsters and the rare bigger fish. I'll probably get out a few more times myself, just for haha's. Thanks for sharing buddy.
I'll ve doing hybrids Tuesday. Just got set of 8 pics my buddy sent me from the past couple of days. Like a dozen wipers all over 10#

I will probably go a few more times myself, just because it is better than sitting around the house. Enjoy these days young man!!

Thanks OBG for all the reports you post here.
I look forward to seeing how next season goes when those babies grow up.
I am a trout fisherman and have not fished for bass since I was a kid with my grandpa on Lake Meade. Maybe next year I can get some pointers from you as I should be able to get out more then.
No problem will help where I can. There are a lot of great fishermen and fisherwomen here on the stage that can help out. Use to fish the Sierra's quite a bit about 20 years ago. Welcome aboard and tight lines MB
I heard the Wipers are sterile. So, that means genetically-altered in my book.
