A great day on Wednesday, quite windy putting the kayak in at Site 6 on Havasu Island but headed north and ran into a school of stripers. The action lasted about 20 minutes and I caught five or six, sometimes hitting it as fast as the crankbait landed. On each catch the wind would blow me 200 yd out to sea as I was getting the fish in and unhooking him.
So it was a lot of work paddling back and forth to stay in my spot and not getting blown across the lake.
I headed over into some reeds and casted the same square bill in the shallow water and ended up picking up three largemouth bass. It's good to see they've moved shallow and are hungry.
So a great morning and I tried again yesterday and also again today in the same spots with the same lures and got skunked both days! I guess that's fishing.

Sounds like an awesome trip Langer, aside from the wind anyway. Nice combo Bass catch, and nice picture. Thanks for sharing.
Great day Mr. Langer! Hope to see you out there someday..

Sounds good, and watching the news tonight I think I'll be taking a few days off as that kayak will be blowing around in 55 mph wind in the next 2 days wow!
