Frogs are put up for the year. I found the Perch and did my usual 1/2 day on Wed fishn'. Interesting day caught a bunch of perch and kept some over apx. 10" . Also a couple nice gills. I'm using about 1/3 of a nightcrawler on a mosquito hook smashing the barb too. I was running two small poles and was busy all morning. Also caught a nice cat , two Bass and a couple small crappie. I'm in about 5' of water , just anchoring and casting out. The wind got a little wild for the last hour but other than that a really gorgeous day. Not sure how many perch I kept perhaps 12+ and some gills. Stuck on ice and will clean when I get home from my group tonight at NAMI. The dog is guarding them!! 🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🇺🇲🇺🇲

Way to go buddy. What a nice catch, tasty too.
I just came back from the beach to watch my granddaughter run in the Catholic Conference cross country meet. Her teammate won the race and she took 10th overall and second team all conference honors. Man am I glad I made it home in time from the beach.

Just finished up packing my fish ended up with 18 perch and 5 gills. Soon to be fish fry coming up plus I share with a couple along the way too. I'm gonna try to get back out this Friday to drown some more nightcrawlers. There was just one other guy in a canoe there this morning. Says he fishes once a week here. He left shortly before me and fished opposite of me about 100 yards away. Didn't get to see how many he got but he was working two rods when I went past him so I know he was busy too. 12" perch on the ultralight are a blast. 🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🇺🇲🇺🇲

Sounds like a plan to me Andy. Those big Perch definitely can give you a workout on an ultralight.

Beautiful yellow perch and extra species as well! I just thawed out my last package of yellow perch and smelt from last Winter's ice fishing and they tasted just about as good as fresh caught...although fresh perch are hard to beat! Hope you enjoyed those meals!
