Stopped by Trout Run on my way home tonight just to look at some steelhead and see the crazy fishermen/ women shoulder to shoulder. In the picture you can see the catch basin Fish &Boat uses to collect eggs and milk males to raise new fish they have it blocked off right now but the fish are anxious to go upstream. Trout Run is purely propagation stream with no fishing at all. To the locals this is a normal sight but I thought some of you guys might enjoy these pics. As you can see you can almost stand by the waters edge and pet them !! A couple young boys were trying to do just that . What a temptation! 👼😇. 🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🇺🇲🇺🇲

Very cool Andy! I would pull up a lawn chair and hang out there quite often if I lived nearby! I've got to imagine that even though the shoreline is crowded, that folks will definitely catch fish.
Looks like a great place to stalk around in a kayak and cast or troll as they congregate near the river mouth.

I saw one bass boat ( in pic) with 4guys in it casting back toward the line of people and one other boat out farther and they appeared to be trolling. . There were others out of the shot further down the beach sitting in lawn chairs also. Funny sight was near the mouth a guy was sitting in a chair on shore with his lines out between a couple different guys. Everyone just seems to be happy being out fishing . More power to them. Most fishermen/ women are really good people and this place shows this in action. 🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🇺🇲🇺🇲

They certainly are. I don't believe that the Fish commission let's the fish up this tiny run anymore due to trying to keep the water pristine. But instead hatches fry and let's them go up stream to imprint them to this little run. It's really amazing how this many big fish crowd all the streams in this area . Some barely trickle into the lake but on a hard rain the fish shoot up the streams and spawn . Many get trapped in larger pools and smaller pockets of water that drain quickly. Raccoons and other animals enjoy this as well. Still brings out the little kid in me wanting to get in and pick some up though. Saw some kids today that were ready to give it a go if it wasn't for their mom giving them a little check. Always tempting to a kid!! Right now most streams are starting to get fish stacking up waiting on wet weather to move far up the creeks. Hope you enjoyed the pics 🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🇺🇲🇺🇲

Great question thank you. Yes these are coming from Lake Erie. The guy's fishing elbow to elbow are standing in Lake Erie. There are numerous streams that these fish go up that really help the economy in the fall and then again in the spring. Most are very wadeable but have very slippery slate bottoms. Fish &Boat com. Have been putting in more access points over the last few years to help parking for fishing. 🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🇺🇲🇺🇲
