Hello fish friends!
I'm from Central Illinois where the fishing was relatively good. Now I'm no expert but I've heard that fishing in MO is much different!
Today, my first day using Missouri fishing license, we're gonna try Tunnel Dam.
Any tips? Thanks

Welcome.
Sorry I can’t help with fishing in Missouri, but did pretty good last week on Lake Jacksonville in Illinois.
Good luck and don’t forget pictures. We love pictures.

I don't get to see all of the topics that come up every day but see yours now two days later, so I do hope you had a good first fishing experience in Missouri. We lived in Joplin many years ago and enjoyed fishing Pomme de Terre, Table Rock, Grand Lake, in Oklahoma, and a host of smaller lakes. Crappie and Large mouth bass were the target fish in those days, mostly using spinners. If you are willing to travel there are many waters to explore in Missouri. And the water isn't iced over three or more months of the year.

That Table Rock Lake looked like a great place to explore. when down there in Branson last fall we checked out a fish hatchery nearby. Quite the operation raising trout to plant they had there. Hope to get down there to check it out with a boat some time.

I've visited the Tunnel Dam area but never fished it. I heard the lake is fairly shallow but good for bluegills and I imagine some crappie are in there as well. Maybe put another post out there saying how you did. Getting all the back to the dam site can be a trip. Would like to know if it would be worth the effort when we have the lake itself to fish in.
Thanks in advance.
