Hello!! I love to fish for mostly crappie and bass. I am currently struggling with the crappie, but if I have a rod and a body of water, I still consider it a good day, regardless!! I may just have to get my bass rod out instead.

Welcome. Good luck with the bass and the crappie.
A small (2-3”) should be good for both. I caught several crappie and bass on a 2.8” Keitech in the color “Light Hitch” last week using a 1/16th ounce , belly weighted 1/0 hook. They are out there but will take some patience.

Are you still out fishing now this cold? I'm new to this game too but saw you were an Ohio girl thought I'd check in w you. I. Fishing the Scioto ..here in Chillicothe..can't wait till next year to hit Ross Lake .I heard it's nice ..also Tar Hollow
