Between bow hunting and home responsibilities I haven’t been out much lately, until this week. 3 times solo bank fishing in various ponds around St Johns County. I was throwing a spook, spinnerbait and C rig. The bass would come up and slap the spook but not take it. Probably 5 or more times in each pond. The only ones I was able to catch hit the spinnerbait. The biggest all week was around 3#. Nothing on the C rig. Anybody having the same thing happen or am I just throwing the wrong baits?

You might try a Red shad worm and work it on the bottom 🎣 hope it'll work for you.....
My favorite worm colors, fished on light or no weight in ponds or shallow water, are red shad, moccasin, red bug, watermelon red, June bug, tequila sunrise. Tight lines.
Thanks. I got back on them this week. I switched from a Super Spook Jr. to KVD Sexy Dawg. They committed to eating it pretty well. I picked up a few more after top water died on a Zoom finesse worm in green pumpkin on a Neko rig.
Green pumpkin is always a good choice. Sounds like you're having fun.
