Low traffic beach Port Orange/Daytona

I would like to find a stretch of beach near Port Orange or Daytona Beach that is food for surf fishing - fewer general beach-goers.

Any advice?

Come to Amelia Island. When school is in session there are very few people on the beach. Kind of a long commute for you though.

Apollo Beach, at Canaveral National Seashore is just a bit south of there in New Smyrna. Requires a weekly or annual pass, but the price is very reasonable and it helps keep traffic down a bit. As with all National parks, veterans are free.

Be forewarned. The beach at parking lot 5 is designated as clothing optional...
