Air cooled outboard motors??? Had one on my square-back Coleman canoe back in the day. Do you believe I fished all over the Sacramento Delta with it?

They appear all longshaft. I wonder if they are sailboat kickers. I've heard of Elgin and sunbeam though never saw one.

The one on the right is a Mercury made in the 40s
The one on the left is a Johnson Sea Horse ( guessing in the 30s)
The middle one is a 1938 Evinrude

I had a 1938 Evinrude when I was a kid ran good on a 12' John Boat in the river🎣🎣🎣

Thanks Chuck. I've got a +- '64 seahorse, 5hp out back. Open the wing to put it in gear. It started right up when I tried it though I've never used it.

They've came a long way, I guess I came up hard and my friends always had the newer stuff but I never had to keep up with the Jones😂
But God has blessed me in many ways, I have everything I need and even some to share 🙏

If they said…”Pick one and take it home for a wall-hanger in your garage”….I would take the Mercury on the far right.

Fun seeing these again. I've visited that lake many times and was always amused by these old motors. Thanks for sharing.
