Pickwick practice day

The wife and I went to Pickwick today to practice for next week's tourney.... We caught somewhere between 20 and 25 smallies and spots.... Should be in good shape for the tourney if we do anything close to what we did today.... We only put one on the scales, and she topped out at 3.9... We had a really good day considering the wind was blowing straight down the river with the current... Had to point the boat upriver and slip backwards fishing craws and jigs with the drift....

Nice job Doc. Looks like you guys are all tuned up and ready to go. It's tough with the wind and current combination, but you adapted well. Good Luck in the tournament.

Thanks for all the kind words! I'm planning on going back Thursday, it looks like they may have started the winter draw down and conditions may change by next weekend... I'm currently leading for Angler of the Year in points and need to make a good showing.... This will be our last tournament except for the classic, and a simple limit of fish will seal the deal...
