On this day in Patriot history in 1927, carving began on the Mount Rushmore National Memorial, which portrays George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and Theodore Roosevelt. In today's news, a House speaker is ousted for the first time, and our current president could hardly be less worthy of memorializing. —Mark Alexander

I'm sorry Frank, I have to disagree. There are several I could agree to, but not him. He did several things that were badly needed but nothing compared to those four. You would be hard pressed to find anyone more conservative than I am politically, but Trump was never anything but the lesser of two evils. My considered opinion.
