Where is the easiest place to access the Truckee River on the Nevada side? Has anyone tried around Boomtown? What tips do you have for someone with limited river fishing experience? My rod reel gear is spinning or casting. Don't have a fly reels set up yet.

Try the Mogul exit of the 80. Drive straight across and over the railroad tracks. Park there and walk straight down to the river.
