Caught three Walleye. Two were nice size. Unfortunatley I lost a 20 plus pound salmon. I netted it from the tail, and caught the plug. It was my friends fish, so it really hurt. Worse yet, it was the only Salmon we’ve caught this season.

Nice catching Russ, those are some chunky Eyes. Sorry about the heartbreaking loss, but stuff happens. Hopefully your friend is still talking to you.LOL. Thanks for sharing buddy.

He asked if I wanted to go again Wednesday, so I guess I'm still his fishing partner. He was sad he lost the fish, but he was pretty cool about it. I had just let go of a nice Steelhead, about 8# guessing. Steelhead are restricted in that section of the Columbia. They sure put up a good fight though.

WOOPS, that's why you net a fish head first. That way if they try to swim away, they swim INTO the net, not out of it. Oh well, stuff happens. Probly never happen again. Nice walleyes though. Congrats.

You're absolutely right, and I knew better. I thought we were going to lose it and over reacted. I'm hoping I get an opportunity to catch another one as a consolation.
