Howdy. I’m fairly new to this forum. I have lived just a hair south Burleson Texas all my life. Very far from either Alvorado park lake as they call it Or Cleburne Lake which is a little west of Cleburne Texas. And I just wondered if there was anybody else that kept up with this page that finished either one of those two lakes . Alvorado lake has a tournament every week that I’d like to start fishing. And I just wondered if anybody could give me any pointers on maybe what the fish like as far as lures. I know they’re picky. And Cleburne and Lake I’ve been trying to catch sand bass or maybe some hybrids But I haven’t had any look at anything Thank y’all. Trent Williams

Hey Trent, welcome to the stage.
Would you happen to know a fellow by the name of Don Walters? He lived/lives in Burleson.

I can’t help you with the fishing there, but I can highly recommend a good Cowboy Church near Cleburne called Shepherds Valley.
Pastor is Russ Weaver. Great people! 🙏🏻

My wife just told me that Russ is no longer the lead Pastor. We haven’t been down there for about 9 years.
We helped start a Cowboy Church here in Kansas in 2009, after going to a training there in 2008. I lead worship here at our church for 12 years.
Hope you get your info you need. Lots of folks from Texas on FS with great knowledge.
