Thanks to everyone who gave me advice on a towing vehicle for my 16 ft Tracker. As I mentioned, trucks were a no-go but I needed advice on an SUV. Two weeks ago, I bought a 2021 Honda Passport with an already installed tow hitch and trailer wiring. It meets my needs - and that of my wife - perfectly. Thanks to all of you who responded and helped me focus on this vehicle!

Congrats on your purchase! I think you will do fine with your Honda Passport. I use a Toyota 4Runner, with a V6 4-liter engine to tow my Tracker Boat and it is probably comparable to the vehicle you purchased. So far, I have not had any problems going a long distance or not having enough power on hills.
