Hey buddy, if you are inquiring about fishing at or on Spring lake in Santa Rosa ,Ca. Just a little information, no gas motorized boats are allowed on the lake. Electric motors only. Not sure if you were thinking about launching your pontoon boat there or were referring to to a kayak!

Well then you’re good to go. Have a home in Santa Rosa. Fished the lake many times over the years. Try dragging a craw imitation, casting toward shore with a slow retrieve. You can find some nice bass there! hope u nail them!

I was using jerkbait or a few spinners,and maybe a drop shot rigs with a worm or floating bait/salmon eggs

Back in the day Spring lake had great trout fishing. As long as F&G planted it. Not sure if they do anymore. Read an article in the paper several years ago that the bass were decimating the trout plants! Maybe that’s why the bass are doing so good! Free food!

Here is a link to Fish and Game's fish planting schedule: https://nrm.dfg.ca.gov/FishPlants/. As you can see, Spring Lake isn't listed and usually isn't. However, nearby Lake Ralphine is usually stocked with trout but doesn't show up on the current schedule.
