It wasn’t that long ago a place like this was my place of worship on Sunday.
So many opinions on that topic on places of connecting with God.

Good morning Bob, that reminds me of when my brother and I were little and my dad was a Deacon in the church that we attended and after church lots of time we would go to a small lake and spend the afternoon fishing and cooking out but was back at church for the evening service, well the preacher told my dad that was not Christian like and he thought he shouldn't be go fishing on Sunday.
I remember my dad telling him that he works day and night all week and if God had a problem with him he will let him know, boy I was thinking for a bit that the preacher was going to talk dad out of spending time with us fishing after church 😂 (things that we don't forget) hope you have a wonderful day 🙏
I will freely admit to doing my praying on beach some Sunday mornings. Great place to make the connection. I'll also freely admit to really enjoying the peace and solitude of sitting in church on Sunday morning, having a long talk with God.

One can commune with God anywhere, for some it's easier in a building with like minded people, for others it's felt more outside with Nature. I do both but outdoors much more often.

Good one Wulffy. I've always thought that just being seen at a Bank doesn't make you wealthy. It's the work you do outside of the Bank that counts. Being seen in Church is the same. It's what you do outside the Church that counts!

There is a lot to be said for belonging to a vibrant cohesive worshipping community. I worked for years to attempt to build one. I failed and the overwork almost crippled me so I have become a hermit kind of…

If we have a true relationship with God, we can connect with Him anywhere and anytime. As a Christian, we also have a part to play in “The Church” (body of Christ) which is our “assignment”. It is from doing our part, that we not only grow in our faith, but also reap blessings and rewards from God - both here on earth, and in our life to come in Heaven.🙏🏻

I posted this once before but it seems to fit this conversation.

Now there is a toe tapping opinion one can get into.
You may choose not to acknowledge God in this life, but you will get a second chance, but you will not like the results.

I typically go to church Sunday morning but I feel closer to God surrounded by nature than in a man-made structure
