Caught a bunch of channel cats at Blue Marsh Lake. Below are pics of the largest. It was a sunny calm morning with air temp at 50 and water at 71.

Also, cast many hard and soft lures around the boat for stripers, musky, walleye, SM-LM bass, while spot-locked cat fishing, but no hits on those.

What an awesome Day! Perfect.

Those are my kind of cats, easy to clean and skillet size.

Thanks for the pics DVT. Gorgeous day.

Thank you BD. It was a beautiful morning to be on the water and to catch fish made it better.

Thank you Ranger. The bait I used was nightcrawlers-the larger worms, they cost almost 50 cents each here. I tried cut bait a few weeks ago, but did not get any bites.

They are large, around 8 inches long and round as a fat pencil. They come out at night and retreat into the ground during the day, they can go a few feet down into the ground. The best time to get them is when it’s raining at night, the rain drives them out of the ground much better than just darkness. Raincoat, flashlight, and a container are needed, they will be laying on top of the ground with a little bit of their back end still in their hole so they can retreat if threatened, they retreat fast so need to be quick. Walk softly and you will get many. I collected nightcrawlers for years and sometimes would get 50 to a 100 in 1 ½ hrs..
