Hello, I have lots of fishing tackle for rivers, but little or no experience fishing for salmon. What are the best ways/ tackle to fish for salmon from the shore?

Being that we can only keep silvers I’d throw spinners or drift eggs
I've had good luck with spin glos and shrimp or cut plug with tuna scented with bloody tuna scent
