How’s the fishing on lake fork right now
They just had Sealy big bass splash there 3 days. Quite a few small to mid range fish but not many over 24" slot limit...probably needs a few days to settle out
Hello guys:
Don't always have something to say but here goes.
Went to lake fork yesterday to catch crappie and anything else
That was out there. Used minnows. Lots of boats out there until cowboys game. Water was 84 degrees
I put in at public ramp on county road 2946 just north of bridge.
No one had much to talk about. I fish following old creek beds and channels keying on timber
And found fish in 20 to 25 fow holding to timber. Most timber had no fish but
Enough to keep me interested. I use a livescope to find the fish. I kept several crappie (10), most
Were 12" or larger, several catfish keepers.
Crappie had very lite bite, without livescope probably would have missed.
Of course more snags than fish. I fish south east of landing never more than a mile from bridge.
I buy 2 maybe 3 dozen minnows, no one counts, and go home when all gone
I have fun
It's not always like what you see on utube.

Great report, its just fishing tougher then normal. Lake Fork tends to "turn on" and you will start seeing all the guides posting great fishing reports....when they are quiet...pick another lake to go to. ha.
