Anyone had luck lately casting from CT shoreline for fall blues/stripers? 4 trips to Old Saybrook with 0 hookups past 2 weeks.

Try Hammonasset djl. They have been catching both at Meigs Point. Bait when it's quiet, and poppers and tins, whenever there's a blitz going on.

Many thanks.
Good luck, and post some pictures.
Tried Meig's Point today. Lots of birds working on blitzes for a couple hours but too far out of reach. At least there was SOME activity.

There's a nice rip off the tip of the breakwater on the east (left) side, during the outgoing tide. There's also some big boulders out there that often harbor Stripers.
If there's Bluefish in those blitzes, they'll often come right into the beach area.
Keep trying and sooner or later you'll be there at the right time. Good luck.
I agree. That's exactly what was going on. The bait was hemmed in on that small area and not moving. No reason for fish to move elsewhere with a buffet of plenty.

I've seen Bluefish drive whole schools of Bunker right up onto the beach. You could have scooped them up with a net.
