A group of us would like to fish from local piers or off the beaches. We’re looking for recommendations and any tips you can give to help us out. Also, we would like to seine for shrimp from land. Any suggestions on the best places in our area and what level the tide should be when we head out with our nets. Thank you!

The Beaufort Pier on the broad River is a great Pier to fish off of. It's clean and they also have restrooms.

Not sure about on the island, except by Hudson's seafood. The Broad river pier would be a good spot if you are up to a 45 minute to an hour drive. There is a pier at the end of Calhoun Street in Bluffton on the May river.

I like to fish The Sailing and Rowing pier off off Squire Pope rd. Fishing is just ok. Crabbing not bad. Can’t help with shrimping
