Life in every aspect would be better if government stays out of it. Look at the student loan fiasco.

Right!! —Government and fiasco are synonymous.
There’s nothing they can do better or more economically than private enterprise.
They’re even failing at their responsibilities to uphold the constitution and protect our borders. I saw on the news about twenty railroad cattle cars filled with people headed for our border.
Talk about union busting labor! The dem governor of New Mexico said last week “the Constitution isn’t an absolute.” God help us!

Well Mau, She doesn't need to believe that, cuz a Federal District judge has just shown her otherwise. There are a few on the bench that insist on that, and the SCOTUS has been pretty consistent about backing them up, when they decide to address the cases.

Great to hear!
I’m optimistic.
I’d just be happy with common sense.
I like Gov Lamont because he shows common sense.

Government programs. Student loan

Housing market. Health care. They also are part of the Postal Service Problem.

Everything they touch turns to +*****

Excessive wages, costs and pension liabilities can k**l the best run company. There will come a point when they will leave Detroit completely like most have done.
Businesses are created to make profit, I know that’s hard for some to understand but when the climate is no longer friendly for a business, they will move somewhere it is.
California is a perfect example.

I'm saying are workers in general intitled to part of the profits and if so do they share in the losses. Ford announced the EV car production suffered a 40,000,000 loss this year so should those workers be on the hook for part of that loss if the workers on the profitable production lines are untitled to share the profits. it's a general philosophical question not limited to the auto industry.

Just my opinion, you can share in the profits when you buy stock in that company.
Some companies offer stock options along with a salary.
If people believe that they deserve more money when the value of the stock is up then why not get less money when the stock is down.
Sorry I guess I just repeated what you said.

Larry, you hit the nail right on the head. I can tell you that from my work experience, workers that were shareholders were highly motivated to create success in their work units, to maintain their jobs & share in the profits produced ! Sure, the wealthy class that are big investors profit, but if you are at a publicly held company you can too. I'm not worried about Ford's decision, why invest huge money into a sector that is unproven, even with huge subsidies that are, after all, paid by the taxpayers. Gotta stop 🛑 now, or we'll be upstairs to continue this topic.

Not “some reason”, I told you the reason I left but you didn’t comprehend I guess. Had nothing to do with mafia. You watch too many movies maybe. My father and grandfather were both union bricklayers. It was good for them but became about the union and not the workers. Leadership in all unions makes much more then average member. They also always support democrat candidates and take dues money from members to contribute to campaigns, wether the membership supports the candidate or not. They basically became the thing they tried to protect workers from. Days of needing unions are gone. Pensions alone to support the retired union teachers in NJ are not sustainable and put us $ billions in debt. Then they all move south when they retire and collect their pensions because it’s too expensive to live here.🤡

We could opt out for having part of our dues from supporting the democrat party.

You’re wrong if you think the Mafia wasn’t affiliated. The need for unions is Never gone. If you’re a Corporation of course you think that way. Did you forget that Teachers Retirements are money that has been put away since they started teaching? You believe false information that is called Propaganda. Unions are why people can retire. I know it doesn’t matter to YOU because selfish people only care about themselves. Union leaders are usually Voluntary. My union leaders didn’t get a dime for running the union. So I’m sure YOUR union and your daddies and grand da daddies unions were really special where the leaders made $29,000,000 like General Motors Managers. I get it only your family had the negative experience with unions. The problem today is so many people saying false crap like this trying to convince young people to abolish unions then never have retirements and work for peanuts. Unions may of never needed to come about if Corporations or companies just paid and gave proper benefits.
