Got out Saturday for the long grind rock hopping and balancing shore casting n hoping for a good bite. The weather was beautiful. The feeding seals near the bridges gave me hope there were fish around and maybe they'd spook some in closer to shore for me to hook up with. The harbor porpoises visited also as they passed on by. It turned out to be a great day for a walk with a fishing pole, but the fishing was very poor. Landed one small one on a Rattle Trap, and had a nice one on a jointed swimbait at the very end of the day that shook me off. Spent all day chucking and winding and moving for a whole 2 strikes today. Still happy to get out and enjoy this rugged little piece of shore, but my hopes for striper tacos were left unanswered by the fish gods. Still a bit sore today, but happy for the experience none the less.

History: my father and me fished Dillon Point casting Johnson spoons with a pork rind trailer with stinger hook. Had great action especially when casting along the river drop off to the deeper portion of the river.

I haven't fished that yet, I should. I only usually fish out that way when housesitting in Glenn Cove. Its always an adventure, fish on or not. But I usually get at least one when I fish that area.
