So I must’ve caught 20 non-keeper fish today on a DT 10 Rapala DT 10 crank bait in shad. However, the bigger fish were still in the brush piles at about 12 to 20 feet. The sweet one weighed about 4.15 pounds and hit on a midsize brush hog in green pumpkin magic. Once 10 o’clock hits all the idiots down for the Labor Day weekend came out and the bite was no more. Jet skis galore.

Oh brother you have some big fish down there.
Do I see a dab of chartreuse on the tail.
I know what you mean about the weekend craziness.
I haven't the water on a weekend since I retired.
Good hearing from you again👍
How are you doing now?
Zoom products are getting hard to find around here.

Nice catching Rich! I'm staying far away from the water this weekend. Thanks for sharing.

Griz. The chartreuse dipped tail has been a main stay of mine for years. I use it in all my green pumpkin plastic and on some trailers in my jigs. (Small blue hill all have chartreuse tails!). I was somewhat surprised when I officiated in the MLF these past four years in the amount of pros that use the dye as well. Both chartreuse and orange.
I’m doing well as can be for the old fart that I am. Don’t have the long term stamina anymore, but I get out probably for to five days a week for half a day.
Nit having an issue here finding zoom products. On line buying may be the answer for you. Tackle warehouse or BOATWRX or bith good sources.

Fred. It’s not bad early, as most of the tourist drink late into the night and don’t rise early. I get out at daybreak and quit by ten.

I hear that Rich. Many of the lakes I fish have a lot of residents, who just stumble out the door into their boat and go. I've seen Waterskiers and Jetskies @ 6 am, flying through the morning mist over the water.

I got my bottle of chartreuse n dipped a bush hog. Found the jig heads but haven't gotten out yet.

If you didn't hear 3wks ago today a guy hit us head on. Totaled my truck n sent Bug n I to hospital.
I'm still dealing with that.
It will be awhile before I get out.

Getting older tends to slow us brother.
👍🤣

Dang Griz.
Sorry to learn of your accident. Glad you survived.
It’s harder to heal as we age I’m still suffering from the residuals of stage 4 throat cancer 6 years ago.
I’m putting you and yours on my prayer list for a full recovery.

Thanks brother appreciate it.
My neck is messed up rest of upper body still sore.
Bug got 6 stitches above her left eye n a nasty cut on her leg. She got bruised up real good.

I had my seatbelt in n got the worst of it. Fractured sternum/orbital bone/lower cheek bone both left side n broken rigs on right side.
My truck n his red car.
He jumped Into my lane on a bridge with no shoulder.
Cut into the other lane n he cut into the front corner.
Never hit the brakes still on the throttle.
He had plenty of room to hit the bed instead of the front end.
Told police he fell asleep sure ok.
.
Good luck with your continued recovery brother. You're certainly right about bouncing back.
Not much bounce left in worn out bodies👍
Never had a broken bone in 76 yrs. Got 5 in a heartbeat. We're still alive I can live with that.
Wish you the best my friend 👍😊

Sweet catch once they're over 4# it just adds to how great it is to land it. My bigger ones are lounging in the pads a ways back . Fortunately not a lot of boat traffic on Pymatuning but Edinboro Lake is a washing machine with skiers, jet skis and tubers along with alot of pontoon boats which put out a nasty wake. So that makes off limits for weekends right now. Thanks for sharing your pics and keep em coming the fall feed will be in full swing any day now. 🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🇺🇲🇺🇲
