Sadly we have lost Jimmy Buffet. My personal favorite of all time being a proud Parrot Head! If you never made it to one of his concerts, you missed something in life IMO. Met him a few times, shared a beer with him and maybe a shot of Cuervo, hard to remember those days. Rest in peace my friend!

I made a post as well. Loved Jimmy!! He’s my father in laws and my best man’s dads favorite singer. Had one of the best times of my life when we all went to a show at Blossom. I figured the good lord needed that “Margaritaville” vibe up there.

RIP Jimmy

He use to pop in at Captain Harry's here in Charleston every so often and strum a few songs. Also did a concert after Hurricane Hugo to help raise money.

Actually found this old photo from the day. The first time we met, we found out we had a lot in common.
Both altar boys, both left home at 17 to go surfing, both are pilots, both crashed a plane, and a few more that we can't mention here. Like our pecker hats?

Good Picture. You could pass as Jimmy with those glasses on. I been bummed out today after reading about his Death. He has been one of my all time favorite entertainers for sure. Went to many shows of his. We made cheeseburgers in paradise one year and had about 22 people in our group. We had the lettuce and tomato Heinz 57 and French fried potatoes. An LA PD officer sat down with us because I made him take a break and have beer with a Cheeseburger in Paradise with fries. We went to Hollywood Bowl several times to see him and the Coral Reefer Band. It was pure fun. Hollywood Bowl use to let ice chest / kegs etc in to the seats it was a bunch of fun.

I met him in Jamaica in 2005 at his Margaritaville bar in Ocho Rios. We had a great time with him. He will be missed.

Thanks Jeremy, good read! He would come to Irvine Meadows every year, probably saw him 10 times or so. Once at the Forum also. Being in the Wine & Spirits business, we sold Jose Cuervo which was one of his sponsors along with Corona beer. Would go back stage a lot before or after the show to chat with him. Just a great guy! Didn't really need to take the kegs in, as there always seemed to be this cloud hanging over the crowd with this distinct smell. Not quite sure what it was.

Theirs a little inland down here in central Florida called Cabbage Key, and on one of Jimmy's fishing trips they stopped in to have lunch and he ordered a cheese burger (which is the best ever) and after eating it he was inspired by the place and that's where the song Cheese Bigger in Paradise originated from🍔
