They are continuing to put water back into DVL at a fairly regular pace. I believe it has affected the fishing for quite a while now. Got to the lake early and was fishing by 6:30am. Caught my first fish at about 6:45 a very "small" LMB. I fished until 11am and caught a total of 28 fish. Sound like a great day? In my opinion, not really. All but one fish was below 1lb. I even caught a 3" striper on a 5" senko...wierd! It does show the population is in good shape. If they keep to the plan and fill the lake by the end of the year, 2024 could be epic and be like the old DVL.

Big fish of the day, 1.1lb

Another chance to "Find the Coyote"

Still a productive day Garey. I'd rather catch little ones, than none ones. Found the Yote easily this time.

I've been fishing it regularly and have had the same results.
Hit 30 ft on the ridges and shelves and and you will catch much bigger fish but you have to grind it out.
I'm excited about the striper bite in the next 2 months, striper Mike has been catching some big fish up to 20 lbs. When the bait gets pushed up into the banks then the top water action should be really good like last fall.
For now its trolling, pulling the feather and plugs

Thanks Paul, did try some drop shotting in the 25-35 ft range, picked a couple but were small also. Really not a striper guy, but will chase them occasionally when they pop up on the surface. Lot of bait fish on the banks now or out about 20ft.

Wow, if it weren't for that coyotes legs, body, tail and head, you'd never see it!
