We spent a few days up at the Grand Canyon earlier this week but was out yesterday for some striper action about 9:00 a.m. Put the kayak in at Mesquite Bay and headed south to where I've been catching stripers in the last few weeks and hit a real solid quarter mile stretch where there were thousands of fish. Both trolling and casting Ozark Trail Square Bill I must have landed 10-12 fish and lost just as many. In one spot they were hitting the lure as soon as it hit the water and you could feel them whacking it as I was retrieving the lure but then about 10:00 a.m. it just all shut off. The breeze kept blowing me away from the area so I'm headed back. Biggest was about 2lb but many that are chasing it are small.

Alright buddy. I just love it when it comes together like that. And you're right. When it shuts off they SHUT OFF.
Nice job, thanks for the update!
I understand the tournament was canceled for today.
I was looking forward to fishing there today.

With the weather forecast you don’t want to be on the lake today.
