Do you guys realize how simple changing out the meter is???!! 8hrs of training is way more than enough I could teach a monkey to do it in an hour. Cut the tag, loosen the screw or flip the lever, remove the band, pull the meter, push new meter on, put the band back on, tighten it up or flip lever and finally install a new tag. I can do it in 5-10 min tops. That said if you donβt want one itβs your house do what you want.

Jay, true it is a simple task. But with todays mind set of hurry up get it done by bosses to the techs after just being shown a procedure in a 8 hour course with an OJT of 1 1/2 days, many things were covered would have me concerned too.
There is no shut off from the pole to the house and one slip of a screw driver, fried Monkey. Just sayin: I would want a more experienced person or at the least a crew of 2 to do the job.
