I am a resident of PA and have a condo in North Ocean City. I have a 19 ft center console boat that we enjoy using it for bay fishing. Mostly croaker and spot, but am interested in trying to catch more blues and stripers. We also frequently fish off the surf on the Ocean side.

I just got back from Chincoteague Island a bit south of OC. Caught a bunch of spot, kingfish and blues in the surf. Kept the spot and fished on the Free Reelin in the inlet and hooked up with some nice sharks. Next day we went up the box cars. Caught 6 flounders. Biggest 25”. 3 blues and 1 trigger fish.

Box Cars are an artificial reef made from old box cars.

They are subway cars or similar structures dumped into the ocean about 8 miles out. It’s an artificial reef.

I don't know where it is. Probably the internet can help you. Has to be in either Maryland or Virginia. The respective dnr's might know. Someone that knows will probably chime in. Good luck.
