Please look up SeaviewFishing pier live webcam. The wind is high but the waves are high. Also Surf City webcam you will also see it live. They are warning people to stay out of the water.

Winds and undercurrent. Already had one to drown. Warning signs all over the place.

When the surf is up and you are good at it....you go! Those waves are pretty small and not really a lot to worry about. In my youth, I pulled a 14 year old girl out of the water with a strong rip going. She thought she was better than what she was, and I had told her not too go. Back then we did not have leashes on our boards.
