This is what I been saying. The VA doesn’t have a problem. It’s the non military people who works there and don’t care about the veterans as long as they get benefits and good pay. The information is out there and I am sure people know someone that know someone might be struggling . However you can’t make them go.

Putting a 10 year limit on applying for health care under the pact act is wrong many may not have symptoms for years yet
Many Vietnam veterans didn't show symptoms of agent orange exposure for 50 years. I developed type 2 diabetes last year and now get VA care and compensation for it.

So true. All one has to do is look into it. Once you are in the system you are there. 0% is a percentage. If what you have is 0% and it gets worded then you get back pay. When I learn of something I share it to get the information out there. Even if it doesn’t help me.

I am 100% disabled and get all of my treatment at the Wilkes Barre Pennsylvania VA hospital. Everyone there does an amazing job. I have been seen by over 10 specialists and all of their staff. All are friendly, knowledgeable, and explain everything very well. Much better than most public medical professionals in this area.

I’m new at this so bear that in mind. My time was Vietnam, 1967,1969. My hope, like many I assume, is that the memories and images will end when I die. The VA, unless they have experienced these issues are fighting a fight with one arm tied behind their back. I do think they mean well, but unprepared they deal with us in a way that’s hey would like.

Some VA’s are like that but there are some that actually does great. With the new system and the actual head of the VA in Washington has made a lot of good changes. So hopefully it gets better. Have you ever heard of CRSC ? Look it up please. If you were injured in any form they will pay you back pay It’s combat related special compensation. Read up on please. Especially by you serving in Vietnam. It may or may not help you. Good information to learn and pass on to other veterans. Thank you for your service.
