I made some new friends last week bought 20 musky lures for only $8.a piece and a tackle box with 15 musky lures for $100 now I'm all set for musky fishing....pre covid this lake had a Musky guide service...now none...i am pretty good fisherman but i like to help guides stay in business... anyway one friend is going Musky contest fishing in north Wisconsin... another 6 friends are early October trip to Webster chain in Indiana...so my general question is how late can Musky.

Thanks i thought maybe turnover of lake. Might throw off fish feeding and since we had NO ice fishing this past year the Musky might be really confused.

MTNYALA....are you a MUSKY fisherman i been to the area you mentioned for crappie and walleye fishing.how do you find out about tournaments for Musky....do you or know anyone who belongs to MUSKY ALLIANCE....any leads are appreciated.

Google musky tournaments. You’ll get Illinois Musky Tournament Trail and Professional Musky Tournament Trail.
I fish Lake Kinkaid a lot. Headed for the Chippewa Flowage next week for 10 days.

There’s really only two active guides down there. Both are good. The other is Walter Krause. I’ve known him for 12 years and have fished with him often.
He’s almost as old as me so we have a lot of mistakes in common. Ha! Most of my over 40” musky were taken while fishing with Walter. That includes my personal best 47”
