I fished the river channel 8/28/23 from 6:30AM until 10:00 AM casting from 15 ft to 4 ft with buzz bait, frog and the edges a with a jerk bait. One strike all morning and it was short. After 20 years of not fishing this area I am still trying to find fish. HELP>

It's been a little over a month since I fished Wheeler, but I caught my fish in the grass edges out to the river drop starting just below the RR bridge... Caught fish on Yum Dingers and on frogs... I caught some on the back side of the grass, but most came on the channel side... Hope this helps...

Going to Wheeler Lake tomorrow. I will be trying the flats with a worm and buzz bait.
