Someday she will regret it. Looks like a fun little one making chocolate cake or brownies. Hopefully that may change in time. Forgiveness is for the ones that need to do so.

I've done all I can do to reach out to my daughter. When I had Stage 3 cancer surgery scheduled, she had nothing to say to me. It"a okay, I know who I am.

I am sorry you are in that situation. Children just do not all have the respect for their parents they used to. I did not like like my dad's decisions as to my freedom while living under his roof........but I loved him and I lived there.
Kids feel so entitled and are so removed from regular emotion, they have too much internet and TV.
She will grow up to regret how childish and selfish she was..........the child may be a teen by then. Again, I am so sorry you have to live this.

Thanks ilovesinclair. I live in TN and she is in WI so that is a factor also. It would be nice to know the opportunity to see her is there.

So sad for the family situation but so very happy you found the photo! There's a possibility that when she is older she may find you! When I was a babe in arms, my maternal granddad told my parents he never wanted us to come in his sight again. When I was 21 years old, and he was three weeks from death, he asked for us to come see him! I think I know your emotions, but hang on to that picture and hope for the future. You just never know!

I'm not optimistic but we will see. She thinks I favored her older brother over her when they were kids. She's 37 now. Life goes on.

Greg, My heart would be broken if this happened to me, and I wish I could find the words that would soothe yours. All I can say is : be strong. Life has some bitter disappointments, but try to find what little solace you can in the good that remains......

I've had my moments with this situation but all I can do is accept it as part of my life. I appreciate the support. Hopefully, I'm not dragging people down with this story.

Wow Greg, what a shame she is a beautiful child and looks like she would be a real joy to be around. I also have a granddaughter I will never see, she is 10 or 11 years old and I think of her often. Maybe someday we will both be so fortunate and get to meet them
