Great game for sure. California homer in the bottom of the 6th to win it, especially after a grand slam by the other side and pitcher injury in the 5th to tie the game. For those of you that do not know, they play 6 not 9 innings.

That walk off homer was his 5th. of the series I believe. They should have walked him. I'm a good arm, chair coach. LOL

If we are going to Monday morning coach, they should not have pulled the California pitcher early in the fifth. That is, unless he was at the end of his pitch number. I think there is a restriction on number of pitches the youngsters can make in a game. Apparently I am wrong, as they won. And going back, the Washington coach should have done something to win against California in the prior game.

Hey arm chair, no matter how hot the kid was u have to pitch to him. You never
Intentionally put the leadoff hitter on base in a tie game where that runner would be the winning run. In all levels of the game a lead off walk will score 80% of the time! Just my opinion.

There is a game limit for pitchers and also a weekly limit. As both teams lost earlier they both had to go through the Losers bracket to get to the final. This added the amount of games played and pitch counts for both teams.
It almost takes an accountant to keep all this stuff straight- but it is for the overall health of the players.

Great game. Was rooting for the PNW but oh well Cali got the job done.

Nothing better that walkoff Homers. At any age

Restricted to my armchair due to surgery recovery, the little league games were a blessing! I watched that nail biting last inning eating my daughter's pasta salad( its the best)
When Lappe hit that homer i was out of control and when they interviewed Lappe and coach, when he told Lappe he was his son forever, rain did fall!
God bless California and all the teams! What a great bunch of kids!
P.s. wasn't Lappe the tallest 12 year old you ever seen?
