Early morning Crabbing

It’s a nice cool morning on the Choptank this morning with a light breeze mid 70s.
Water temperature 82 and a slight breeze from the northeast.
Tide outgoing with low tide coming in about around 7:30.
Crabbing slow thus far with a slow tidal movement.
Hoping for things to pick up as the morning progresses and the tide begins to come in.
May have to do some fishing between trot line runs.
Updates coming throughout the morning.

Many yrs ago I went crabbing at Solomons Island.
We did the same thing.
Crab fish repeat.

When I docked my boat at Delaware Bay I would keep a commercial Crab trap in the watershed I arrived I would empty and bait the trap and usually had a good catch when I came back

Just caught a 18 3/4 throwback and the a 19” keeper.
Ran the line and had 12 keeper crabs.
Have about 3/4 bushel crabs.

Freshest feast around. Crab, fish n hush puppies yes sir. Just got 5lb New River Shrimp this morning, 2.5 hr cast netting.

So we finished the morning off with a bushel of big fat blue crabs, one big soft crab and a keeper Rock Fish.
Crabs are steaming now and filet of Rock soon to follow.
