Looking for a good kayaking lake, camp, and trout fishing lake around50 mile flagstaff
I have not been to White Horse lake/campground but friends have. It's south of Williams. Good luck.

Sweet, I’ll check it out, we traveled up to, Ashurst lake today, it was ok, but the road, and camping places… mmm?, but I will check out this place, thxs
Ashurst lake. Great trout fishing. Just a little east of flagstaff
Erwin, don't tell anyone, but another nice area would be J.D. Dam. Small reservoir 4-5 acres? Kayak, (no bait) little fishing spot. Actually, close to White Horse Lake. Walk your kayak out to the end of the walkway. No actual camping areas, just set up off in the woods. Another small lake is Dog Town Lake near Williams on the north side of I-40. Beautiful small lake and good fishing. Lots of Kayak's there whenever I'm up.
I have a small pontoon blowup type. Able to row it. Unless it’s real windy. You think it might work?
Absolutely! I enjoy trout fly fishing from my float tube! Foot flipper powered! It is a cute quiet location when not too many people are there. I fly fish with an indicator fly on the surface and a 'dropper' of anything like a small midge. Black midge or black/silver has worked well in the past. Mornings and evenings best of course. Surface fly's or droppers have both worked. Dude, just thinking about it is making me want to grab my keys and go! I would check with AGF to see if any reports of too much alge this year. I have read it has been a problem in some lakes this summer. Good luck. You'll enjoy the experience even if you get skunked. Remember no bait! I think it might be barb-less hooks as well, there is a large sign by the parking area that will tell you the rules. I always catch and release anyway. Let me know if you get up there and what you think. If you don't have a large campsite need, drive just behind the lake where there is a small parking area with an area for a truck with cab-over camper or tent up in the woods. Easy walk to the water. Enjoy!
I thank you for the information.
