In what state is it unlawful to sing in public

No one really knows for sure, but here are the most widely accepted theories.
1) It makes old people sound stupid. There is a line in the song " How can the old men tell it ain't gonna rain no mo.
2) there is also a line that is sung, a cute little wife of mine, her name is Jennie. Perhaps that made some big shot mad. There are some others as well.
