OK guys. I have a math problem.
I owned my boat for 16 years 3 months.
That's 204 weeks.
Out of all those weeks I USUALLY went fishin at least 1 time every week. Sometimes I went 2, 3 and sometimes 4 times in a given week.
There also were times that I couldn't go out at all during a given week.
MOST of the times when I went out it was for at least 8 hours, sometimes more but not always. I rarely ever went for less than 4 or 5 hours.
NOW, here's the math problem.
How many hours would you say I probly had on my motor using those figures of 204 weeks of ownership and the amount of hours I might average for the year X 16 years + 3 months?
Look forward to the answers.

How much time is the motor running during an average trip?

That would be my 1st question also. A person that spends hours casting shorelines will use a motor much less than a troller.

Also at what speed is it running If you have an actual hour meter on something, the hours rack up faster at high speed as opposed to low speed

Can't say Saw. Because in those possible 4 - 8 hours how long was the engine running each time? 15 minutes here and there and fishing time in between= no arrive-able answer from me.

Then there is the motor running time when you got home to clean it out.

Through deductive reasoning…the answer is 5!
The number one answer in the final segment of Family Feud when the question involves “On a scale of 1-10…”, the #1 answer is always 5. Just sayin! 😜

I would guess not enough! It looks like you spent less than 1/2 the time available on the water😁

First all, it's 844 weeks, figuring 12 weeks for the 3 months.

based on the info you gave your statistical average should fall between 3,672-4,896 engine hours.

I agree the hours of run time wasn't provided.
For most of those trips I would say the average run time was close to 5 to 6 hours.
But on the trollin days, which were most of the trips over the last 6 years, I ran it continually the whole time during the 8+ hours on the water. I would say 7 of those hours were at bout 5mph. The other hour+ was at WOT which is 34mph.
I know, still no definite answer. Just curious what y'all come up with. Thanks.
