I was gifted this pole by an ole friend when I beat cancer. I want to use it but not sure what type of rod it is considered. Any help is greatly appreciated it says it’s model 9525 but can’t seem to find any info on it. I even googled it. It’s a 6’ rod and one piece with 3 eyes I believe it’s fiberglass has a really cool wooden handle. I love this pole I just don’t want to break it. I know my friend would want me to fish with it. He was my ole fishing buddy.

That looks very similar to my Penn I got in 1956 when I was 5 years old. Not the same but I believe it was made for the same type or fishing. Mine has a Penn Peerless No9 reel on it. I see it was made in Andrew's SC. Which is a little over an hour from me. My son lives right on the other side and next visit I'm going to see if I can find anything about the company that made yours. Great for bottom fishing of a boat or pier. Good luck.
Thank you so much. Yes it’s for sure for bottom fishing and someone told me even inshore. My ole fishing buddy gave me it the day I went into remission. I hadn’t fished in almost 2 years and had lost all my fishing gear. Sadly he passed but I’m sure he’ll be watch me fishing with it from above. Thank you for your help

Brogdon Industries, Andrews SC. Based on model number its a saltwater pole.
Based on what I found it might actually separate at the base of the pole by the handle. Might give it a twist and try it.
Another model I found, the 9520 has 4 eyes.
I would be careful with it and have all the wrappings and eyes checked before use.
Best info I could find for now

Pics are of an old pole gifted to me by great grandfather prior his passing. Handle was personally hand turned on lathe in his garage.
Interesting top eyelet. Assume if was for a hook.

looks like the eyelets are more for a conventional reel not a spinning reel. 6' is a good rod for a Penn Senator.
Ok perfect thank you. Unfortunately I do not know how to use that type of reel YET.

Looks like a rod made for bottom fishing or maybe trolling. Maybe should have, what I would consider a trolling reel or bait caster reel attached. The rod itself would be real forgiving of a strong hook set. My two cents worth.

just what i said. I can see a black mark where the side brace ran under the tube was attached.
Thank you so much for the information. Unfortunately currently I only have spinning reels. I’d like to learn how to use a bait caster, I haven’t found one for a reasonable price (just in case I am unable to figure out how to use it) I don’t want to waste the money lol. Everyone says it’s not that difficult from the paining just need better thumb control. I was also told to learn that thumb control with a weight at the end of the line while watch tv etc. then move up to casting in the yard. Thinking maybe I’ll go back and check the local pawn shops again. Again thank you for the information.
