So the pastor tells me the church is having a fish fry, and since I am a known fisherman, he asked me to help supply some fish filets. The only bass that I would ever put a filet knife to are Kentucky‘s or spotted bass. It’s not easy to catch small fish when you’re not used to it. I did catch a limit of kentuckies three days in a row, but I let go more large mouth than I caught Kentucky‘s.
Today was no different. I hook this 3.8 pounder of a secondary point in the half way back in a cove on a zoom mag trick trick worm (grn pumpkin magic) with a 5/16 oz shaky head. Put him right back in the lake.

Sounds like a tall order, Eyecrosser! Hope there are other parishoners he also asked to increase the supply chain!

Nice one Rich! That's the way it goes, you only catch small ones when you're looking for Hawgs. LOL.

Hi Eye
I tried a bass I got by accident.
Got a one stuck in the roof of my mouth n never ate another.

Now I just wouldn't do it. 👍

Stay safe brother 🎣

Several other parishioners are engaged in supplying fish. It takes a TEAM to feed all those attending the fish fry.

More truth to that than what you know. I’m going through a lot of largemouth black bass to get a few kentuckies. HA.

Can’t say I blame you Griz. We don’t eat bass in my house; mainly walleye and crappie with an occasional catfish.
