Took two of my grandsons fishing yesterday to on of my old haunts. unfortunately there were 4 youngsters already there. they were not catching anything so I rerigged for them and fixed a jammed Zebco 33 for one of them. then took my grandkids to find another spot. after about 20 minutes we hit a nice open area. and it began...
the youngest caught 6 fish on his first 6 casts, the older one fell behind with only 4 on 12 casts. He decided to move on his own. The little guy was catching fish so fast his mom took a video (from releasing fish to reeling in the next one 30 seconds!) I couldn't have asked for a greater spot for these two. at the end of the fishing the 8yr old had 38 fish.(all blue gills/sunfish) the 10 year old had 24 fish Blue gills/sunfish) and one bass. I'll post the pics later after my daughter sends them to me ( they're on her phone) they now feel like if they fish with Grampy they are going to get a lot of fish.

Awesome trip Rip! It's a great day when the little ones are catching fish left and right. Nice job helping the other kids too, setting a good example for your grandsons as well. Looking forward to the pictures.

Good job Ripo!
Sounds like a great time.
Please post some pics.
My daughter gave birth to my second grandson yesterday.
I took the first grandson fishing here on my farm ponds in March and he caught his first fish.
Good times

Way to go, rip. Better to have them out there than in the house with a video game. Congrats to the two kidz.
