Hello J, I’ve never fished Odell. My uncle’s used to troll for them years ago. I know they used downriggers, but I don’t remember how deep, or with what bait used. I know they caught some over 30 pounds, and use to can them

I have only fished it once. I know there’s a ton of Kokanee in the lake and that’s what the Mackinac feed on.
Headed up there for a week October 1 so they shouldn’t be running too deep. I have downrigger’s and planer boards for running the edges.
We caught one Mackinac and she was 14 pounds. 45 feet deep in July.

Good deal J, 14lb is a pretty good fish. I’ve caught a few out of Four Mile lake down here out of my Kayak, but there were only in the 3 or 4lb class. But they sure BBQ’ed well. I was jigging off the bottom in about 140 of water. It was fun.
