Have you tried any of the local fishing piers, I go out of the pier in Crystal River. I've only caught sting rays, but there fun. But I've seen cobia caught out of there.
Water temp is like 92 ….it is hot out there for the fish as well ! I have been doing better on overcast days with a bit of wind ! Cut bait or live shrimp …. I guess they don’t feel like chasing artificials ! Hope you do better !
I keep my fishing equipment in the truck, so sometimes I fish even on a low tide and that's what I did a week ago at Howard Park, Grandson caught a needle fish and some pin fish so he was happy.
