Went to Youghegeny river in S W pa to do some trout fishing this is a tail water that runs cold all season,it was recently stocked and some friends went and had good success, however both buddy’s fell in even before starting to fish , they warned me about carrying my phone as not to ruin it if I fell in , I took there advice left the phone in the truck fished for awhile and pulled in a nice fat 14-15 inch rainbow, I like to take pictures but couldn’t,a little later I hooked a fatty that took me to my backing, 5-6-7 minutes later I had a 22-23 inch rainbow in the net and no phone to take pictures I was bummed,I was thinking boy them guys must be uncoordinated or something I’ve been in faster slipperier water what’s the big deal, Done for the day started out of the river and it happened,down I went over my head looking for my flyrod panicking and GLAD I DIDNT TAKE THE PHONE at least it was refreshing 😂😂😂

I had a change of clothes to but undressed right in the parking lot of a very busy canoe Kayak launch site

Hi Cougar I'm guessing you was below the Youghiogheny river lake dam?

Always heard it was good trout water.
Have you ever fished the Casselman river. Heard some BIG one in it.
Nice catching n stay safe 👍😊

Castleman in pa is better smallmouth fishing than trout but in Maryland it switches to better trout fishing

Cougarbaby : Take the phone, just use TWO slider type plastic food storage bags, one inside the other. Problem Solved.

Nothing like a little dip to refresh a fellow. I had one this year also got to see the bottom of my yac . At least you didn't donate anything to the "Fish God's" !!! Back up phone got fried in my adventure. Glad you're not worse for the wear. Sure would've loved to see those fish pics!!! 🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🇺🇲🇺🇲

Going to go back to the youghegeny river this Friday morning weather permitting to try the new breathable waders them neoprene ones aren’t made for this weather hoping for some big ones and some pictures to share , it’ll be catch and release maybe hook into one of them big smallmouths lurking the depths 🎣
