Caught this little guy around sunset last night on crank bait in 20 feet of water. Good news was he was released safely to hopefully grow much larger.
I believe this was a stocked fingerling from either very early spring or late last fall.
FYI, fingerlings typically grow about 18 inches their first year in SML. This guy was 13-14 inches.

Nice CPR, they stock in May and June so this guy from last year and a little short at 14" Once they get that size, they start putting on the weight.
