The cow's comes up to the barn every evening and hangs out till the morning and then they work there way down to the other end of the pasture where they hangout in the pond for awhile then they head to the back of the woods and about 4pm they start back up to the pond again before heading back to the barn, what a life they have.
My wife has named for most of them. I have two more pastures that that she don't name them cause she doesn't see them that much, I am glad because if they have a name she said that they have a life estate that means I can't sell them when they get old and don't have calf's anymore πŸ˜‚

Good morning OJ, they do have a good life all the grass they can eat and a pond to cool off anytime they want, and during the winter I feed them 20% pellets so they stay looking good, I don't like skinny girls need to have a little meat on them bonesπŸ˜‚
I like your post of the waterfalls, if I did hike up that far I'd have to camp for the night and head back down the next day with my heath πŸ˜‚but might be worth it πŸ‘πŸ‘
Hope you have a wonderful day πŸ™

They look like a very healthy and happy herd Chuckay, wether they are pets or food. Good job.

Fred, all of these was born here on the place and their the ones I get my replacement heifers from and I sale most of the bull calf's to guys that has just a handful of cow's that needs a bull, sometimes I end up taking them to the market witch Kay knows they mostly are shiped to a Texas feed lot for beef..On the other hand the other cow's down the road their calf's are all sold for beef πŸ₯©

Notice your location is central fla. do you have alligators in ponds there? Just wondering. Also any trouble with pythons?

We have had a python killed only a few miles east from here a few years back, around 16' with eggs and my buddy has one on his game cam around 9-10' just down the road west of us. So yes we have them in the county where I live, I lost a calf's to dogs one time luckily I heard them baying it and by the time I got up and got dressed they had done killed it but those two will never kill another one if you know what I mean. We also have coyotes and I'm always on the lookout for them, got them under control as of now, (Google the python killed in Zolfo Springs Florida) and you can see a picture of the python killed down the road from me...and as far as alligators we do have them also but again they are easy to keep them under control πŸŠπŸ½οΈπŸ‘πŸ€ž

Thanks Fred, it's a lot of work but I wouldn't have it any other way. I was raised on a farm and will alway have cattle just in my blood and my wife loves animals the grandkids call her mamaw Dolittle she can tame down a wild hog to the point it stayed here for years and ran with the cow's it would come within a few feet of her by herself on her golf cart. Here's a few pictures of Kay and Lulu one of her bottle babies she raised about 18 years ago πŸ˜‚ and a picture of a Red shoulder hawk that would sit on our back porch and visit, just another day around here...
